Using FL Studio 10 and still learning a lot, especially about mixing and mastering. In case anybody is interested, here are just a couple of things I did to make "Rainy window" sound like an actual piano performance: 1) used separate piano rolls for right and left hand parts, 2) pretty much stayed in one piano roll for each, not many patterns, 3) Only quantized the notes here and there, leaving some slight off beat, 4) spent a lot of time changing note lengths and note volumes to have some parts ring out more than others, 5) used volume and tempo automation clips - tempo automation really helps with the phrasing, 6) stuggled with the reverb and compression quite a lot - I probably need to take a whole class on this subject.

And I drew inspiration from Kate Beneteau - I just love her "Crash": http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page_s ongInfo.cfm?bandID=46600&songID=483079 4
